INTERIOR DESIGNER IN OLDHAM, SADDLEWORTH AND ROCHDALE
Leeds-based, designing homes across the Pennines
Suma Interiors is an interior design studio based in Leeds, just over the Pennines via the M62. We work with busy homeowners and families across Oldham, Saddleworth and Rochdale who want a home that feels warm, works for everyday life and is finished properly.
From stone cottages in Uppermill and Delph to family homes in Shaw, Royton and Littleborough, we design interiors that suit both the house and the way you live in it.
Designing for homes across the area
- Saddleworth stone cottages and weavers’ homes: characterful rooms where colour, lighting and clever storage bring warmth and space
- Farmhouses and barn conversions: dramatic volumes, beams and stone that need careful zoning to feel homely
- Victorian terraces in Oldham and Rochdale: period features alongside modern kitchens, bathrooms and family storage
- Family homes in Shaw, Royton, Milnrow and Littleborough: layouts, storage and finishes that make busy family life easier
Barn conversions and Pennine homes
Barn conversions and older Pennine homes are full of character, with exposed beams, stone walls and large open spaces. They also come with design challenges. We plan:
- Zoning for open spaces, so living, dining and cooking areas each feel defined
- Lighting for high ceilings and beams, with layers that make large rooms feel warm in the evening
- Built-in storage, often missing in converted buildings, designed to suit the architecture
- Warmth and texture through colour, textiles and natural materials that sit well with stone and timber

Working across the Pennines
We start with a consultation at your home to understand the space and how you live. We then create the design, with layouts, materials, lighting and furniture, and visit at the key stages of your project. Once you’re happy, we manage ordering, deliveries and trades, working alongside your own builder if you have one, through to final styling.
Areas we cover
- Saddleworth: Uppermill, Delph, Dobcross, Diggle, Greenfield and Denshaw
- Oldham: Shaw, Royton, Lees and Springhead
- Rochdale: Littleborough, Milnrow, Norden and Bamford
Over the Pennines, we also work in Huddersfield, North Leeds, Harrogate, York and across West Yorkshire.
